Meet Our Founder

Siddhartha Patro

OUR FOUNDER

Born in the vibrant small town of Gangtok, Siddhartha Patro grew up in a family enriched by two distinct cultures. These roots gave him a unique perspective on life and the world around him. Until grade 5, Gangtok was his entire universe—a place where he enjoyed the simplicity of life without a desire for change.

However, life had other plans. At the tender age of 10, Siddhartha stepped out of his comfort zone and moved to a boarding school. The transition was harsh for a young child, marked by tears and homesickness, but it also became the foundation for personal growth. Over the next eight years, Siddhartha faced challenges, experienced failure and success, and formed lifelong bonds that shaped the person he is today.

Football played a pivotal role in his life. Introduced to the sport by his father at a local game, it soon became a defining part of his personality. The lessons learned on the field—teamwork, resilience, and discipline—continue to inspire Siddhartha to face challenges head-on and strive for constant self-improvement.

Today, as the founder of Project Aquaphonics, Siddhartha combines his passion for sustainability and community development with the tenacity he gained through life's trials. His vision is to empower communities to adopt aquaponics as a sustainable solution to food security and environmental challenges.
